Website hacked: clean and secured again.

Website hacked? An attack costs trust and search rankings. We repair the hacked website, close vulnerabilities and then keep it up to date with ongoing maintenance; we apply the same rules to our own website.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

What does cleaning up a hacked website cost?

An analysis and clean-up usually costs €150 to €600. Scope and duration depend on the extent of the infection. We quote the price after a short check.

Do you restore the website securely afterwards?

We restore the site from a clean backup or clean up the existing installation: remove malicious code, check access and files, install updates. You should also change your passwords yourself. Nobody can guarantee that nothing will ever happen again, but we reduce the risk considerably.

Is ongoing website care worth it?

For websites with forms, a shop or many plugins: yes. Updates are installed regularly, backups are made and anomalies are reported.

Website hacked – what should you do first?

Secure access (change passwords for hosting, CMS and FTP), take the site offline if necessary and do not delete any files until the cause has been found. We then analyse, remove malicious code and close the vulnerability.
